life, lime and lemons

if life gives you lemons, make lemonade, find someone whose life gives you vodka, and have a party

Rule #1 : No cellphones, no watches.
Rule #2 : No more rules.

Priorities : Food, friends, booze and sleep.

And thats how 4 blissful days were spent in Goa.

It started off on a bit of a sour note – with the body being stubborn in certain matters to being caught in a Baby Boom Boogie on the train. Then the magic of the beach set in and everything sour was forgotten.
Sunsets became the norm. Outrageous jokes and laugh-till-u-cry became the routine.

The return to reality has brought with it a lot of questions. Some realisations too.

Most of the time, most of it doesnt matter.
The questions may vary – why me? what if? how?
But most of the time, it just doesnt matter.
Planning and analysing are over-rated. End of the day, that one moment that you were happy in is all that is remembered – is what counts.

The beach bum life also pushed forth the question of to quit or not to quit? in both personal and professional life.

One of the girls shared her beer-inspired thoughts about the sea : that it came in everytime to the shore with something to say….hesitated……went back…..it came back…….but failed to say it again and ran back. I see it within myself. Relationships have been let go. People have been let go and now its difficult to approach them, to say what needs to be said. So I dance like the sea – to and fro.

The holiday daze refuses to go. At work staring at the laptop or in the bedroom staring at the ceiling, the mind still wanders back to the sea and the sand and the hills and the fort. I can find no cure for this hangover.

“thoughts about the sea : that it came in everytime to the shore with something to say….hesitated……went back…..it came back…….but failed to say it again and ran back.” – its a wonderful thought! (or maybe it came in everytime to the shore with something NEW to say…and went back having said that to the shore…but whatever way you look at it, the sea has a lot to say.)

    Yes your eyes are sandy,
Just a little bit too much of rum and brandy (Just for the rhyme)
all you need is a little bit pondy!

We will have the sea… and the waves … and the thoughts and we can discuss it all there..

Not that I am with you on the quit and not to quit… and neither am I against it!:)

Agree with Nish on the thoughts about the sea.. simply beautiful..
